Check back soon for more pictures of our farm and our horses ...
We live on an 18-acre farm in Rineyville, Kentucky, which is located in central Kentucky. We raise Quarter Horses. We stand two stallions for service. We offer for sale foals, and also horses that are ready for trail riding. We offer on a limited basis boarding with a stall and good pasture; we plan on increasing this part of our business starting in the summer of 2009.
These are pictures of our home, our property and the old barn which we are in the process of renovating into a horse barn complete with stalls, tack and feed room, grooming area and an office. In the spring of 2009, we are planning to build an indoor riding arena with additional stalls to be used for boarding horses. With permission from our neighbors, we have access to about two hours of trail riding time from our property. Just a short, scenic 30-minute drive is Otter Creek Park with miles of marked horse trails with creeks, equestrian camping, picnic areas and a swimming hole.We also have a small outdoor riding arena.
Emma just loves riding! When we trail ride, she rides Western on a Paint mare named A Solo Angel. She also enjoys riding English and Hunter Jumping on her half-Arabian pony, Love. Emma was double-digits (her words, which is 10 years old) in August of 2008, and she is ready to work with a foal; she is planning on starting with that in the spring. She started riding when she was two years old, and she has taken riding and jumping lessons for the last several years. Just this year, she joined 4H. She was elected the Reporter for her 4th Grade class at Rineyville Elementary School. This was her first summer to attend 4H Camp in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. She had the time of her life; she cannot stop talking about her experiences there. One of her very favorite activities was the nature class. They did the Cotton Eyed Joe every night, and she is still dancing herself to bed! She thought the staff there were so friendly and she said they made the children feel so comfortable.
Danny usually rides whichever horse needs exercising or training. Becky rides an 18 year old Palomino mare named Chantilly Lace. This is a mare we have had since she was 3 days old, and she is very beautiful and gentle. We have two horses who have been on our farm for a long time; they are Miss Leah Kingsville who is a 29 year old Dun mare, and Mr Star King who is a 24 year old Buckskin gelding. Star has allowed many children to learn to ride on him through the years.
Our love for horses, and the part they play in our lives, has helped to inspire our equine-related businesses.
Our Stallions are standing for service at our farm. Information on Stud Fee is available upon request. Mare and Foal Care are available.
